Fashion Show: Waste Not

Art 145 supports the arts in Superior by hosting events, providing classes, and selling art.

This year's Fashion Show is titled Waste Not, alluding to the common saying "Waste not, want not" meaning we will not have the desire for new things if we are able to keep the old in circulation, and emphasizing the 'waste not' component, as these fashion items are often unrecognizeable as what they once were. Many of the items you will see at this fashion show were upcycled from clothing purchased at Thrift 145, the local secondhand shop run by Art 145. Other items were created from scratch, and all items were created sustainably in one way or another. You will not only be impressed by the creativity of our artists, but you will learn ways you too can consume fashion in a thoughtful way.

The Fashion Show will be held in the Auditorium at Town Hall on October 25th at 6:00pm

During intermission and at the end of the runway show, there will be an opportunity to bid on the items you saw during the silent auction. Not all items in the show will be featured in the silent auction, and some items will be in the auction and not featured on the runway. All auction items will fit the theme of Waste Not, or items created with sustainability in mind.

Please come and support local artists! The cost of tickets is only $5 each, or upgrade to VIP for an additional $5. And we always accept additional donations! Your money helps support other creative programs like this in Superior.

Before the event, stop by for a clothing swap! Bring clothes you no longer want, and grab some that catch your eye. The leftover pieces will be donated to Thrift 145 to be sold in Superior, catering to locals.

VIP ticket holders, only $10, will enjoy comfy chairs in the front row, along with a small goodie bag, and opportunities for interaction with the show.
