About the event
Do you have a passion for creating art? Do you have a passion for connecting with Mother Nature? What if you put those two passions together? In this workshop you will feel a revitalized connection with the earth and its inhabitants. By the end of the workshop you will have created a work of art that highlights your two biggest passions, and feel a sense of pride in your work.
We will be meeting online via Zoom 6 times throughout a 4 week period to discuss topics surrounding the environment and art, as well as personalized discussions to get you thinking about your own art and how your future artworks can connect to nature. By the end of the workshop you will be able to present a work of art created during the workshop. All aspects of the workshop are optional of course, but showing your progress is encouraged.
Not only will these Zoom meetings teach you more about the overarching topic, but you will get a critical analysis of your working ideas and progress from your peers and instructor. These critiques/brainstorming sessions are incredibly inspiring, and many artist's favorite part of any instruction.
Additionally, you will have the option to be put in small groups or pairs so you can connect with other artists who are creating alonside you. You will be able to discuss your ideas, where you are stuck, and ask questions to your small group at any time. If you do not want to be put in a group, or just want more discussion, you can also be added to our private Facebook group where you can post questions, share links to relevant articles, or show your progress.
