Kids Sewing: Plushies

This class is a great class for kids at least 6 years old who will behave safely with a sewing needle. Adults are also welcome to sign up! You will be taught the basic techniques for sewing by hand, while being creative with designing your own stuffed character! Your teacher, Maya Barton, will guide you through coming up with fun character ideas, how to make simple patterns, and how to sew at a beginner level.

This class is a challenge for children under 13 years old, but they will have fun! This lesson is difficult to squeeze into 2 hours, so do not expect a finished project if the student has never sewn before or is young.

All materials are included but feel free to bring old socks or fabric with a fun pattern. We want to make sure you are able to experiment with new art forms without having to buy every gadget and supply.
