About the event
This class is a great class for people who are new to sewing on a sewing machine, or have a machine at home they need help understanding better. In this class, our Resident Artist, Joanne Schultz, will teach you the basic techniques for using a sewing machine! You will gain confidence in the proper use of your machine's settings, and taking care of your machine, as well as learning the basics of stitch types, fabric types, and pattern reading. You will be learning on either our Singer or Brother machines. If you have your own machine, message us, as the class student limit is based on the number of machines we have.
This class is recommended for people above the age of 13, and is great for adults.
All materials are included but feel free to bring a machine if you have one, old socks or fabric with a fun pattern, or thread you want to try out. We want to make sure you are able to experiment with new art forms without having to buy every gadget and supply.
Please tell your friends about this class because we love a full class; we will add more and more classes as we see interest!
If you have any questions, email Maya at mayabarton@art145.com or use our webiste's contact function.
