About the event
Leon Syfrit is Art 145's Resident Artist from May 11th through May 21st, and we'd love to see you get involved!
While Leon visits Superior from Las Vegas, NV, he will be expanding his project Portraits In ICE-olation where he prints a photographic portrait on paper that he stains with paint and botanicals, and freezes it all in water with plants and other substances. The resulting image is a fusion of the original portrait photograph, the materials arranged with the print, and the unique impression created by the natural process of water freezing.
You have a chance to be featured in his portrait photography for this project! Stop by between 8am and noon to have your portrait taken, and Leon may choose your photo to add to his Portraits In ICE-olation series. Whether he uses your photo in this multi-media artwork, you will still leave with a professional portrait.
