Ceramics Open Studio

This studio time may be used by both experienced ceramic artists, as well as beginners. You may work on a table with handbuilding techniques, or use our pottery wheel. You may use this time to work without guidance, or you may request a teacher. If you request a teacher, they can teach you to use the pottery wheel or various handbuilding techniques. They are also ready with some project ideas if you don't know what you want to make.

There are two prices for our pottery open studio. If you have experience with ceramics, and want to create without guidance, then you will pay $5 an hour with all materials and expenses included. Our studio monitors will be present to help you if/when you need, but you will otherwise be left to work on your own. Please specify in the sign up form if you want to use the pottery wheel so we can avoid double booking the wheel.

If you are new to ceramics or the pottery wheel, we will assign you a pottery teacher to teach you one-on-one during your time here. For beginners who want assistance, you will pay $10 an hour

You will pay an initial $5 online, and can pay the rest, if any, in person after your session is over. Most people stay about two hours, which costs only an additional $5-$15
