Basket weaving

Though not technically "weaving," the coil method is a fast and easy way to create round baskets of any shape, great for all skill levels (please only sign up students 6+ years old). In this class, Maya Barton will teach you how to make a basket using a variety of materials and decoration techniques, and you will leave class with the beginning of a beautiful basket or bowl. Some students are able to finish their bowl in this amount of time, but we will be able to send you home with some materials if you are not able to finish in time.

All materials are included but feel free to bring your own favorite yarn, rope, or beads. We want to make sure you are able to experiment with new art forms without having to buy every gadget and supply.
